Poem

 Love Song For An Addict
I hate the way she makes me feel
Her radiant smile and exotic appeal
Maybe one day I’ll shake her off
Like a cancerous flu or a pesky cough
But for now I’m in her clammy grip
As I bring her close to my lip
Spending days wishing she wasn’t in my dreams
Hours turn to minutes with her it seems
Sometimes I wish she didn’t exist
But beautiful brown eyes are so hard to resist
Snow white skin and luscious look
I’m trapped like a salmon on a hook
For me I know she’ll kill anyone
However, you are still my number one
